Wells, Maine- York County Community College (YCCC) is excited to announce the kickoff of a fundraising campaign to celebrate its 30th anniversary. YCCC is inviting alumni, local businesses, and community members to support the college by donating $30.00 in honor of the college’s 30 years of educational excellence.

As YCCC continues to grow and expand its offerings, the college remains committed to creating career focused offerings that allow students a promising career in York County, keeping Mainers close to home. Donations made as a part of this campaign will allow the college to provide student scholarships and invest in innovative technology and equipment to enhance the learning experience.

“This is one of the most exciting times to be at the college since I started in 2009” said Tracey Cornell, Dean of Innovation and Advancement. “This anniversary is a time to reflect on our journey, celebrate our successes, and plan for the future. The generosity of our donors allows us to create innovative learning spaces and support our students so we can keep our tuition unapologetically affordable.”

In addition to the fundraising campaign, YCCC will host a series of community-focused events throughout the year to celebrate this milestone. Highlights include a faculty art show, a student art show, and an alumni evening that we encourage community members to attend and enjoy.

YCCC is also dedicated to an increased presence in the communities it serves, with plans for more college sponsorships of local teams and organizations and greater participation by faculty, staff, and students at events in local towns.
